Here’s the answer: Patriarchy — men have disproportionately more power than anyone. It’s a top-down structure where ONE GROUP has most control. Matriarchy — a circle where power is shared; focused on community and equality. I like to imagine what it would be like to live in a matriarchy, which is NOT the opposite of a patriarchy.
