About 360hrs on the motor. Brought it to my local dealer. Has been there for almost two months. Waiting on parts has me missing most all winter crab season with a > 2.5k projected bill ...

Jul 13, 2008 · Update: Overheating Suzuki Outboard question Tore into the motor last night. First pulled off the thermostat cover and tried blowing through the holes. Large one clear, small one plugged. Soaked it in white vinegar for an hour, but it drained too slow; 1/4" per hour. Tried to pull the head cover off, but the bolts weren't budging.

May 16, 2010 · I want to replace the throttle and shift cables for my 40 hp Yamaha. The control box is a "Yamaha 703". I spent a few minutes over the weekend trying to formulate a gameplan, but I am not even sure how to remove the old ones from the control box.

Mar 4, 2009 · i have a 2000 suzuki df115...on my alumaweld...probably smae shifter/cables as you. i had the same problem w/ my cables. picked up 2 new cables at $45 each at puget marina in olympia and put them on myself. pretty easy really. pull the shifer off and there is a compartment on the back you open up to gain access.
