Feb 24, 2019 · It appears that the Sonos nodeserver in Polyglot will get you all of your requirements save the "favorites systems button", but that can be achieved in a limited way with the Jishi API bridge. Below is a screenshot of what functionality the Sonos nodeserver gets you (all the functionality provided by the buttons are available to ISY programs).

Feb 10, 2017 · Change <ip.of.sonos> to the IP of the sonos zone device, and <ip.of.nas> to the IP of the storage. The storage must have a share set to allow 'Everyone' read access (since the sonos will not authenticate). This way - you can define many network resources, each pointing at a separate .mp3.

Dec 19, 2021 · I use a Volimo Primo for streaming, it's similar to the Sonos and unless I have a play list loaded either via the web interface or my phone, Just sending a play command isn't enough information for the player to start. I'm not familiar with the Sonos system so I don't know if the NS allows you send a playlist selection command first.

Jul 13, 2022 · I'm working to replace my Insteon Hub functionality with Polisy and Node Servers. The last piece seems to be my Sonos control in my garage with a keypad linc. The KPL makes a great controller since I don't always have my phone with me and I typically have 3 stations I listen to, need volume up/down adjustment, and play/pause.

Dec 4, 2023 · This is my first trial for this Sonos node server. I still use rest commands to set Sonos to play and pause in response to Insteon keypad commands. This has worked well through the years. However, when Sonos is commanded through the app, of course, the Polisy has no knowledge of that command and thus the keypad buttons do not light.
