Jun 9, 2020 · Why is the Shark IQ navigation so non-IQ? It does seem intelligent for the most part about efficiently making vacuum paths. But other times, like docking its almost like old style random bounce around vac. DOES ANYONE have good luck with the mapping allowing them to tell it to clean a particular room and it goes to it and does it well?

Nov 26, 2024 · What if the base is behind a couch, where there is 3' on either side and more than 5' in front although the height in front is only about 6" under the couch? Is this still OK, and will the Shark IQ finds it way back to the base under the couch. Also do you need lights on only during the mapping phases, or all the time so it can find its way around?

Dec 8, 2020 · To whoever stumbled by this thread, I'd like to give some updates on my recent purchase of the Shark IQ mini version with the smaller base. from CT. Afaik it's one of the 2 newer model ones, along with the XL version (Costco has it). I think it has a newer firmware version, and it's updated at least once after I've set it up.

Nov 7, 2023 · Bought this sucker (Shark IQ Robot Vacuum R1001AE) and it arrived December 3, 2019. It is now (December 5, 2019) and I am looking at the manual with closer interest. House map as of yet has not completed yet, (most likely me and my ways are hindering it's mission). This morning I turned off the robot and wiped it off to clean it's sensors and such.
