Yes, a lot of it is different, but sometimes that's for the better. Jace isn't as much of a huge dick in the show as he can be in the book. Aldertree is still a bitch but in a different, less evil way. Inquisitor actually gets to tell Jace she is his grandma. Max doesn't die!
