I design many wordart patterns and use a variety of different fonts. I agree with kofte - arial and times are good fonts but you shouldn't limit yourself to just those. Many fonts can be made to work, just let yourself be creative with them ... in other words ... think outside the font. Toni

I'm sure you can find most of these fonts if you do a search on Google. I would post the fonts, but I don't want to create a problem with copyright issues and such. Sorry!

Jan 23, 2014 · I mostly use Hobo and WordArt and occasionaly Showtime. Hobo you can get just by Googling Hobo Font. For WordArt you need to use the link Larry provided. The great thing about Hobo is that it has no letters with portions which go below the line.

Sep 3, 2009 · Any stencil type font will work for cutouts and virtually any font can be used for letter mounting. As far as size goes, that depends. I normally fit the lettering to the pattern, it's usually around 72 point or so, sometimes bigger or smaller depending on the font.

You could use either Tom's idea, where the name is cut out of the wood, or as described in the keychain link above. You could really use any font that appeals. If Word doesn't have any you like, just do a web search for "font" or even "free font".

With your text selected double click on the font size and type a number manually (e.g. 36). Fonts are measured in points (72 per inch). Any of the above fonts should work admirably.

Mar 19, 2014 · Text can be challenging, if not cut correctly the errors really seem to pop out more than with other cutting at least to me. I personally don't like the stencil type font. There are other fonts available, I am sure you will get some suggestions from others on the forum. When I cut font I use the smallest blade that will work (usually a 2/0 R Olson)
