May 24, 2020 · It looks like air is leaking at the seam in the rim, so it actually could be as simple as the tape being messed up in that spot on the rim. Could also be damaged. Take the tire off and inspect.

Feb 15, 2022 · The leak doesn't even need to be near the spoke hole that the air is coming from. Also, try to make sure that you cut the hole for the valve stem as cleanly as possible. Just jamming the presta valve through the tape is an almost surefire way to ensure leaks.

Mar 27, 2021 · At road pressures, that is likely not sufficient. You'll have all the pressure and sealant working on the edge of the tape and this is a prime way for leaks to happen. This is why tubeless works best when the tape goes from rim wall to rim wall.

Jun 9, 2022 · To determine where it air is leaking, mount on the bike and spin while spraying with windshield cleaner, you will see bubbles pretty quick. I would do that first to determine if your valve is leaking, if the valve is leaking, tighten it more.
