The sail is a limited steering device, it won't add speed and can't push the raft against the wind. As such, multiple sails won't have any effect. Sailing perpendicular to the wind will result in very slow speed, but allows the player to sail almost sideways of the wind.

Apr 29, 2019 · I've discovered that the sail is effective as long as you are not directly against the wind. Using the new steering wheel, I've turned my raft so that the sail is facing the direction I need while at the same time the wind is not 100% against the sail.
