Feb 21, 2018 · So I'm starting to really consider buying a Phred Dockstar along with the pickup and electronic wiring upgrades. However, I am a bit unsure if I should go for it, since I have heard mixed reviews about Phred instruments (though most state that they make great guitars).

Aug 10, 2016 · The earlier models, like mine, have poor pickup wiring - the switches are all messed up. I've heard that the newer models resolved that problem. Not sure if they are still knock-off SH-1s in there like mine still, but I do plan on getting the real deal pups and fixing up the wiring myself when I've got time/money.
