Cardiac Monitors- Which is best? - Firehouse Forums
Nov 1, 2010 · The Philips and Zoll monitors charge to 200J for Biphasic shocks, the Physio charges to 360J for Monophasic. Do you guys know the difference between the two? Kind of a big deal. I use the Zoll E-Series at my full-time EMS job, the Philips MRx at my part-time job, and used the Lifepak 12 a few years ago at my volunteer squad.

That being said, I'll hardly hang my hat on the elimination of one drug from a long-stand cardiac arrthymia guideline as a waypoint in the delivery of fire-service EMS.

Oct 20, 2020 · In PA, EMR's are not allowed to administer oxygen. As high flow O2 is recommended for cardiac events, and several other ailments, it would seem that being able to administer oxygen is a good thing. In PA EMR's are also not allowed to package patients (backboards, collars, etc) as may be required at an MVA or fall victim.

Jun 21, 2009 · ECHO = ALS & BLS response for life status questionable (Full cardiac arrests, traumatic arrests) We still use the old Alpha-Delta system on the industrial side around here, and the differences by injury classification are: Alpha - Non life-threatening where time will not affect patient outcome. (band-aids and non-acute illness)
