Head straight back toward the backside. Off to the left is an island and farther back is a railroad track. Across the tracks is state land, but closed to hunting.

Aug 24, 2012 · Panther Creek Falls in the one up 985 with the incredible waterfall. Good day hike. Lots of people. Panther Creek Trail is in the Cohutta above Ellijay. Both are excellent with the Cohutta hike being more challenging and less crowded. You can even make a couple days hike in the Cohutta. Might even see a bar uppin them thar hills.

Jun 29, 2011 · Another one close by is on Buck Creek road. The store is on the right just before you cross the bridge. You can see the Buck Creek boat ramp from the store. You can put in at the falls or at Buck Creek. I recommend Buck Creek. Where Buck Creek comes into the lake is also one of my better producing bass areas.

Aug 7, 2018 · I think the challenge is that the park doesn't go all the way down that far, so hiking down there is an issue. You have to have a boat and come up from the river or launch in the creek and float down. I don't think the park has an actual kayak launch but there may be a way to carry or roll a kayak to the creek from the parking area.
