May 26, 2021 · I am amazed at how many of you are world record sudoku solvers. The world record easy puzzle is 1m 23s held by Thomas Snyder- the consistent champion solver. People in this thread are talking about average less than 1m 20s on easy. If that is the case, go break the record. Make it public. I feel a lot of the numbers here are just not entirely ...

Jan 3, 2021 · I've been playing Sudoku now for close to a year. Not sure about the easy and medium, but I've been tracking on hard anywhere between 13 minutes to 30 minutes depending on difficulty. I see videos of pros taking around 30 minutes to solve hard. Sometimes the NYT hard puzzles are quite the challenge. Sometimes they are quite easy.

Jul 7, 2017 · I've been interested in sudoku for a couple of months now, switching from crosswords because I was getting bored of them. I did some sudoku in the paper, but later found the ones offered on the NYT's site. I like them because they're free to play, there are three difficulties, and it's easy to fill in candidate squares using an electronic format.

Dec 15, 2023 · Both are weird to do. It’s not really cool or meaningfully indicative of intelligence to be able to do online sudoku fast, so that’s a weird flex. I’m giving times in reference to the NYT sudoku app, or on the website. I’m dismissing the easy puzzle because that’s just a test of how fast you can use the interface. I am a little addicted.

Jan 26, 2024 · I’ve gotten really into the nyt games app and started doing their sudoku puzzles. For most of their games (wordle, connections, spelling bee through the app, Minis, crossword) you can either find the old ones online or the paid ones through the app. Afaik the sudoku is free, and it shouldn’t be hard for a 3rd party to copy and host sudokus.

Mar 23, 2023 · I play the NYTimes Sudoku every morning and the keymap makes it so fast. Arrow keys, Num to enter the number, and Shift+Num to either enter a pencil mark or remove it. I finish the easy in about a minute. The hard puzzle rarely require X-Wing, XY-Wing, Skyscrapers etc. Great way to start my day.

Sep 18, 2019 · I actually enjoy easy sudoku, sometimes I do them without any candidate notation but I found I wanted to use the same procedure for all. Never need more than double dotting with easy and medium and sometimes hard, referring to the Dell cheap magazines. To me, it is mind training. Focus, clarity, and patience. One step at a time.

May 27, 2024 · Hello. I just started doing suduko. I’ve only done a handful of them so far - a week’s worth of NYT easy puzzles. It takes me between 6 to 10 minutes to do them. But I read on here that the average time is 11/2 minutes. I literally wouldn’t even be able to randomly fill in the puzzle in that amount of time! What am I doing wrong?
