I fixed this changing the settings of K-lite codec pack: From start menu choose All Programs. Click K-lite Codec Pack folder. Click Codec Tweak Tools folder. Open All options. Click Thumbnail Settings. Select the file types for which you would like to display thumbnails or click Select Windows default. Click Apply & Close.
