Anybody running 3" lift with 32" 11.50 tires? - Jeep Cherokee Talk
May 3, 2009 · I started out with a 3 inch lift. Wanted to put 31s on 15x8 backspaced rims. They rubbed on the slightest turn. I removed the stock flares on the front. I left the rear ones on. That lasted only a few weeks. I was playing in sand dunes one rear popped off and the other was half off so I removed them.

Jan 17, 2012 · I have a 3" lift and run BFG 31x10.50's on 8" alum. rims with 5" back space with out trimming. I extended my bump stops by 2 inches and have not had a problem even when I remove my front sway bar links.

Sep 15, 2004 · I've been looking at a bunch of lifts and can't decide which lift would be best for 32 inch tires. Full traction 3.5'' comes w/ shocks and sway discos, while rough country has a 4.5'' with shocks...and the list goes on.

Jul 22, 2015 · 245/75's should look very good on an XJ with 3" of lift. Lots of guys run 30*9.5's or 245/75's at that height. They don't rub nearly as bad as those of us running 31x10.5's.

Oct 31, 2004 · Do the math. Your XJ came with 27" tires. Divide 32(your new size tire) by 27 and get 1.185. Multiply 1.185 by 3.55(your stock gear ratio) and get 4.20. This is the ratio that would equate to the stock gear/tire combo. 4.56 would be slightly lower than stock. Go with this.

I've just finished with all the trimming; I kept my stock flares and just bent the fender lip and body seams inboard for the most part.

Mar 24, 2021 · I daily drive a 4.5" lift on 32"tires with stock 3.55 gears and was driving 75mph on the highway earlier today at just under 3k rpm. I can do 65 just above 2k rpm. My XJ isn't a crawler or mud bogger, but it gets me where I like to camp and fish and can have some fun in the desert. Should I regear? probably. Do I have any fucks to give?
