Oct 6, 2007 · This rash just makes the entire inside of my arms all red and itchy. Weird that it only happens on the inside of my arms though. I get the same type of rash everytime I go to a caribbean beach destination too. Anyhow, I am using Bromine in the spa right now, all of my numbers are pretty good, the Alk and PH may be a little on the highside.

Jun 25, 2024 · The Bromine (always between 3-6 ppm) causes my wife extreme rash and bumps, but I have no skin reactions at all. Our initial soak (103º F, PH 7.6, Ttl Bromine 6ppm, TA 30 ppm) caused her an extreme allergic reaction where she had a rash and bumps on her trunk, arms and legs. I am using a Taylor K-2106 'Complete (FAS-DPD bromine)' test kit.

We kept on getting into a situation where our bromine levels would creep to very high levels and sometimes would take a week or so to come down. With an ozonator the ideal range for bromine is in the 1-2 ppm (if not lower). We would see it up at 7,8, 10 all the time.

Last water change was about 8 weeks ago , regular filter changes , all levels seem ok on our digital test strip divice . I get this same type of rash when I go away on vacation to a tropical area by the ocean. I think it has something to do with the salt in the air and ocean drying out my skin or something. Well now I have the same rash from the hottub.
