May 16, 2008 · Roscommon to be precise. Even Higgins and Houghton Lakes, 20,000 acre lakes and they can get very Violent in a hurry. I've been on Higgins when a storm came up suddenly and was battling three foot swells from South Shore back to North Shore boat launch. I think a 25 ft would be better on the Big Lakes and even then your still "Small Craft".

I've seen a number of very, very active thunder and lightening storms, a few with lightening strikes avery few seconds. I noticed that all the boats hit were sailboats.

Lake Geneva is a great all around lake, good fishing, large enough for tubing/skiing, great scenery, good restaurants a short walk from many docks, and party cove near Big Foot state park.Does get crowded, but so does Delavan, in the summer I do recommend a 20' minimum boat or you will get tossed around.

Mar 8, 2013 · I htink it may be good to have for a work boat, or rental, frequently run in shallow rocky water at low speeds. perhaps as a safety measure for a tender of a fleet of, say, small sailboats at a sailing school, or of inflatables. I don't think they'd work well in weeds, either, and will make it hard to unwind your fishing line.
