Sep 23, 2021 · I mounted an old Pontiac flex plate to mine, took the gear off a starter mounted in a drill. With just the drill clamped in place it works good. Have to build a permanent mount for the drill motor.

Feb 19, 2021 · I made up a flange to mount a Pontiac flex plate I had. Used a gear off a starter motor. Using a variable speed drill ( just clamped in place in photo) and a foot controller it works pretty good. Have to build a permanent mount for the drill motor.

Nov 14, 2013 · It seems to me that it should work well as a power unit for my bead roller. It has gear reduction, is reversible, and is 110 volts. I think I should be able to install a sprocket on the roller, eliminate all of the sensors and wire the motor to a spdt switch for forward and reverse and run the power through a foot pedal and make this work.

One poor boys way would be to use a variable speed 1/2 inch drill with a belt and pulley reduction to drive the roller. Remove the variable speed switch from the drill and build it into a homemade foot switch.

Dec 27, 2007 · This is the trigger switch from a Milwaukee 14.4V drill motor that bit the dust. I wired it up to use as a variable speed. The wiper motor is wired to it's low speed setting and that it plenty fast. I still have to build a power supply for it, but that shouldn't be too tough.
