Jul 13, 2003 · This would be 40:1. I have some two cycle oil called Pro-Mix. It states that it has significant advantages in technology that allow it to safely mix in any of today's two cycle engines calling for 50:1, 40:1, 32:1, and 16:1 ratios. It says to pour contents of bottle (6.4 ounces) into 2 or 2.5 gallons of gasoline. This would be either 40:1 or 50:1.

Mar 16, 2003 · My old Stihl Farm Boss specs 40:1. My 77 Lawnboy mower specs 32:1. The huskavarna weed whacker specs 50:1 I have run the Stihl since new on 32 :1 on any old mix oil I can find locally. I mix up a 2 gallon of a rich 32 :1 and then add a capfull of MMO to each fill up. So far, so good. I think you guys obsess too much about oil.

May 14, 2020 · The Toro dealer that sold me my snowthrower said that even though the manual says 50:1 mix is needed (and that's also stamped on the gas cap), he'd recommend using 40:1. 18 years later the thing still runs like a beast. Don't worry about it.

Dec 22, 2002 · 50:1 in a 4-stroke seems a bit strong, although I've never tried it. Probably would be OK in most OPE as long as the spark plug is checked often and changed when necessary. I do use TC-W3 at 500:1 (plus blue Sta-Bil at 500:1) in all my 4-stroke OPE, every tank. Been doing this for about a decade.
