Are Cleaning Mommy/Daddy better than regular sponges?
Sep 5, 2022 · I just tried a Scrub Mommy and absolutely hate it. The sponge is too soft and the face holes make it feel like it will tear apart with any real scrubbing. The scrub side is pool noodle foam. For me it doesn't exactly scrub. Hard pass.

Apr 25, 2022 · The scrub daddy dries out so fast compared to a regular sponge even when you squeeze it out, so mildew doesn’t happen quickly. I throw them in the dishwasher if they start to get funky or if they’re really bad, soak in hot vinegar for 10-20 min. The scrub daddy also lasts a long time, I think I had one single one for over 6 months.
Is it just me or is the scrub daddy severely overhyped?
I used a Scrub Daddy on those shower doors. Now they look brand new. I don't think any other sponge type thing would have worked like Scrub Daddy. I find that brushes sort of let "stuff" fly away in the air and end up on my carpet, my walls, and on ME. I prefer Scrub Daddy to brushes.

I hate the scrub daddy. It doesn’t hold onto soap, I wash dishes in hot water because that’s the most efficient, it doesn’t have the same grip/ tension of a sponge and it doesn’t scrub like the scouring pad on the back of a sponge. I know everyone loves these things but I like to quickly and efficiently clean my dishes, pots and pans.

Personally I use a scrub daddy and a scrub brush together with the brush for the harder stuff and the scrub daddy is better to be gentle on my expensive enamel coated pans. I love my scrub daddys and mommies I get the regular rectangle ones. I did just scald something on my stainless pan and the scrub daddy was no help in getting it off

Yes, I read the box. I am fairly confident in my ability to tell hot from cold. Sesame street taught me well. Even in warm water, they simply are stiffer than a sponge. I think the product is mostly hype from people who are comparing a new Scrub Daddy to a sponge they should have thrown away 2 months prior.

Mar 15, 2022 · What about melamine sponges for tough spots and the scrub daddy for nonstick type stuff? You can buy melamine sponges very cheaply from the dollar store or Ali express. I’ve used them when I can’t find a scrub daddy or similar sponge and they work. They don’t last very long and I wouldn’t nuke them, but they are good for tough spots.
