Integrated webcam not functioning in ASUS laptop
Mar 19, 2020 · Hello. My laptop webcam has stopped working and i have tried a bunch of different things to fix it. I am currently running windows 10 64 bit. I cannot locate a camera driver on the ASUS website. Updating the driver through windows has not worked. Resetting the camera has not worked. Rolling back the driver has not worked.

Nov 24, 2022 · I investigated trying to get rid of it, I don't care for unsolicited stuff, I checked it's settings and found that it had turned off my camera! I turned the camera back on using ScreenXpert, checked it worked - it did, then uninstalled ScreenXpert. My camera still works, I don't have ScreenXpeert doing things to my settings in the background.

I disabled it, restarted the computer without wifi, and same response. When I open the camera app, I see a black screen . I tried to reinstall the driver for the camera from the ASUS web site,and same result.

I have tried restarting my laptop, I scanned for drivers in the Device Manager, and I have uninstalled my Camera device driver. I cannot install the driver and my camera will not show up on my Device Manager even if I show hidden devices.

Also, I can not find a Camera section in device manager, not even under imaging devices. I tried adding a legacy hardware but no model of the hardware would be shown. Mar 28, 2020 · 8 - Reset the camera app from settings. 9 - Got desperate so shone my phone's torch directly at the lens. 10 - Trouble shooted the issue from a hardware standpoint to make sure the issue wasn't structural. 11 - Physically inspected the camera and wiped down the lens with a microfibre cloth.
