Jan 3, 2021 · I like to play regular Sudoku with automatic pencil marks. Makes easy puzzles like NYT Easy trivial, just filling in the singles, under 40 seconds. Medium and Hard are anywhere from 3-15 minutes, not often longer than that. Medium is usually a bit harder for me too.

Dec 15, 2023 · As others have commented in this sub the Medium and Hard are some days interchangeable in regards to their actual difficulty. But, I'm trying to find out what are 'goodish' times. For me, easy always under 4 mins, usually around 3:20-3:30, very occasionally 3:00 medium always under 35 mins, usually around 18 mins, occasionally under 15 mins

Jun 20, 2020 · I usually do both the medium and the hard, and many times I've been able to complete the hard without having to, but then get stuck on the medium. I guess sometimes a puzzle favours your style a bit more than others. Sometimes, you spot a naked single or double quickly, which can either be luck or as I say, just more suitable to your solving style.

Sep 18, 2019 · I actually enjoy easy sudoku, sometimes I do them without any candidate notation but I found I wanted to use the same procedure for all. Never need more than double dotting with easy and medium and sometimes hard, referring to the Dell cheap magazines. To me, it is mind training. Focus, clarity, and patience. One step at a time.

May 26, 2021 · What is considered easy, medium, hard, and extreme is not consistent. I think labeling a puzzle's difficulty level is completely the wrong approach. What defines a puzzle's difficulty level are the puzzling solving techniques needed to solve it. For example, on Hodoku, medium puzzles can require hidden pairs and hidden triples.

Apr 21, 2024 · And it would usually take me an hour to finish after wrapping my head around the logic of how a sudoku table works. But now I’m at the point where I am able to consistently complete the ‘hard’ puzzle in less than 20 minutes.
