Jan 9, 2023 · FWIW, Krytox is an expensive flourine based inert industrial lubricant originally sold by Dupont. It's also used to lubricate dive equipment because it has no reaction with Oxygen gas. Krytox was never designed specifically for use on convertible rubber seals, it was probably the best and only solution available at the time.

Jan 27, 2018 · Perhaps the best way for you is to get a small quanity of Genuine VW Krytox and compare the two. I personally would not use anything except genuine VW Krytox, as any problems with the roof is not worth the small price difference you save.
