Apr 16, 2017 · You know the story, I did everything to find the equal to the best Dumble sounds 'I' like. And there of plenty of Dumble tones I hate! I have played around a dozen of them, and 2-3 I could not stand. I had gone through and tried everything, and there are some great amps out there. I had settled on a few great Two Rocks, and was fairly content.

Nov 24, 2016 · So apparently from what I read DI post on the L6 forum no real Dumble, or Dumble clone, was used to make this amp model. In fairness they gave every clue to believe it was one. The image of the amp in the editor looks just like an ODS, the whole "blues lawyer" thing, the way it sounds, etc.

Aug 19, 2017 · Dumble tone aint that special. Hell it's probably a tele through a little tweed amp on some of those classic "Dumble" records but who knows. The engineers are generally the second thing you're actually envying. A good engineer can make just about anything sound the way THEY want including Dumble oid.

Jul 14, 2021 · Sorry if that's the impression you got. All I was saying is adding eq to some overdrive, IMO, won't get you a Dumble-like overdrive. A good pedal or a good model of a Dumble style amp will do it great. I've posted a thread recently about the Brainworx stuff and I'm enjoying the hell out of the Fuchs ODS, which is a D-style amp.
