Nov 22, 2022 · I'm studying Welsh right now. I just wanted to learn a Celtic language to see how they're different from Romance and Germanic languages. It has been one of the most fun languages I've studied. The only really challenging aspect of Welsh has been the mutations, and sometimes the pronunciation can be a bit of a tongue-twister.

May 14, 2020 · If any Celtic languages are present, they're likely to be Irish and Gaelic. At the same time last I checked, there's about 10 times more speakers of Welsh and Bretonic as Irish and Gaelic. I'd just like to figure out why. This seems pretty strange to me. Oh, I've just checked Duolingo, and yep, the top Celtic language is Irish.
