Anyone have any real life experiences with a 47' Buddy Davis Convertible? I am considering purchasing one and updating along with a re-repower. Maybe with Cummings or Cat. I already know they are fuel hogs. Hopefully a re-power will help that out a bit.

How good is the 47' Buddy Davis from the late 1980's? Pro's and Cons? I know they have a slow cruise speed, but could probably be corrected with larger horsepower.
