In general, FNaF1 is the only game that scares me to this day, unlike any other game in the series, or any from the fangames. Someone who hates horror here. Fnaf 1 was quite terrifying and thoroughly spooked me. Even today I'm still reluctant to boot it up. I beat nights 1-5 legitimately before chickening out.

Dec 14, 2021 · It's scary in the way a jack in the box is scary as you now something's going to happen and uses that mechanic well for what's it's trying to do. the story and narration seems mildly hilariously self aware of it's silliness, but I got tired of it pretty quick.

1 & 4 were actually decently scary, and minigames in fnaf 3 and the ambience in fnaf 2 were pretty good horror set pieces, after that ffps did good enough job at contrast horror, and that's about it.
