If you are under the nether roof you'll need no packspawning optimization at all, because the nether roof is already there.

Dec 31, 2023 · Before Beta 1.9, Zombie Pigman drop 0-2 cooked porkchops, so they are an efficient food source if you can safely kill them. I am interested in building a farm for them, but there aren't many videos/posts online of people building such a farm in Beta.

Jul 14, 2021 · You can find or create a relative open and flat ground, make a little safe house with openings (but carefully because of baby pigmen), hit one, and farm them with a mending sword. Won't be as effective as the nether roof, but it's a cheap alternative.
