May 8, 2024 · I remember from my painting days back in the early 80's that Dupont had a section in their paint chip book with recommendations for colors to use for old cars. I thought that there was a 1967-68 Cadillac green metallic color that they said to use for the interior on the 1950 Chevy but now I can no longer find that information.

Nov 11, 2024 · A friend of mine rolled the 1944 Chevy which was a cab & chassis with a 1936 Stainless steel IH (Corn binder) bed. I still have the bed but it is not very accessible. The 1949 3/4 ton was same color which could have been an advanced design color. I believe the enamel (Delux) colors were used mostly on fleet vehicles.

Sep 16, 2024 · The most obvious is the engine 4 cylinder for 1928 and six 1929. Transmissions are basically the same. One of the most noticeable differences on the frame is the bumper mounts. In 1929 the front bumper bolts to the cast spring mount. The 1928 has a bracket that bolts to the side of the frame rail. I believe the rear bumpers mount the same.

To advance the spark, you push the lever away from you (rotating the rod counter-clockwise).

Oct 23, 2024 · Chevy used a non-syncromesh 4-speed with 6 bold power take off, from second series 1931 - 1940 and an interchangeable 4-speed from 1941 - 1947. The difference being the earlier trans had one more tooth on low gear giving it 7.22 : 1 in low vs 7.06 in low. .
