In this work, the development of an egg incubator that has an efficient egg turning system and a reliable temperature and humidity control mechanism. The chamber is adequately lagged to ensure complete close system. Upon completion of the construction, the incubator was tested using chicken eggs.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK The study focuses on developing an automated egg incubator machine wherein the temperature provided by the incubator will be maintained at a desirable level, egg turning to prevent the egg yolks from settling, humidity level monitoring and real time SMS notifications. Eggs were placed inside the incubator when LCD displays inner temperature and humidity of the incubator as programmed initially. The conveyor system turns the eggs, at least 2-3 times daily to ensure a high percentage of hatching. The microcontroller controls the entire system.
