MICRO BR BR-80: SYMPTOM: Display Stuck on "USB idling..."
If you receive a message on the BR-80's display stating "USB Idling...", then the BR-80 is in USB Storage Mode. In order to install the BR-80's driver ,and use the device as an audio interface to pass audio to and from your computer in real-time, the BR-80 will need to be in USB Audio Mode.

Sep 30, 2011 · The BR-80 is also superior in build quality. It has a metal case and a quick OLED screen while the R8 has a pokey LCD. The BR-80 is really small! I was surprised to see it in person. The crappy reverb on the BR-80 was offset by ease of use, build quality, and great workflow. For guitar practice / tracking it is worth considering.

Does anybody here know if the modelling on the new BR-80 is significantly improved? Or is it more of the same?

The default display when in MTR mode shows the input level and playback level of all 8 tracks+drums and also output levels. Tracks that has been recorded to and the track (s) that are aimed for recording is marked with an "R".
