Gaijin fixed the various MiG-23 radars to reflect how they actually work. Welcome to Soviet radar design. MTI could only be used in niche circumstances so they effectively automated the process so the pilot didn't have to worry about managing it themselves and trained the pilots on how to engage it when they actually needed it.

Sep 19, 2024 · Pros: Strong R-24, both SARH and IR variants. High top speed. Stealthier radar. Good rate at low speeds, with wing folded forward. Cannon hits very hard. Cons: Variable-geometry wing, giving awful retention at high speeds. Mediocre R-60M. Horrible RWR. Radar is russian, and inconsistent. Cannon has very low trigger time and wonky ballistics.
