The Boxer Rescue We are a group of volunteers, dedicated to finding loving forever homes for unwanted, abandoned, and surrendered Boxers. Our rescue works within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Our goal is to promote responsible dog ownership, provide support to boxer owners, inform the public about the needs, qualities and characteristics of the boxer breed, and to be a positive presence in the boxer rescue community.
Available Dogs - The Boxer Rescue
If a shelter reaches out for help, we do our best to find placement for the boxer in need. Lastly, we have a wonderful relationship with boxer rescue in Puerto Rico, and we work closely with them to bring boxers in need, from the island, to New England. All of our boxers are temperament tested and evaluated before coming into rescue.
Adoption Process - The Boxer Rescue
If you’ve been matched to a dog, we will begin the process of making that boxer a permanent member of your family. If there are no boxers that are a match for your family, we ask that you be patient.

Foster - The Boxer Rescue
The Boxer Rescue is responsible for the medical needs of dogs in foster homes. We ensure that they are current on vaccines, heartworm medication, spayed and neutered, and have any other medical concerns addressed before being adopted.

Volunteer - The Boxer Rescue
The Boxer Rescue transports dogs from shelters or from surrendering families, to foster or adoptive homes. We rely on our volunteers to help with these transports. On longer transports, volunteers will tag team and offer to complete a portion and then meet another volunteer who will complete the rest of the trip.
