National Weather Service forecasts say the chances aren't good for most places in the Lower Peninsula, but some locations could have a white Christmas.

Northern Michigan usually doesn’t struggle to have a white Christmas. Southern Michigan historically is on the verge of a white Christmas.

While most of West Michigan will have a 40 to 75% chance of a white Christmas, areas further north like the Upper Peninsula have a 90 to 100% chance. After a chilly weekend with highs in the 20s, the week of Christmas will set up on a slightly warmer note. Temperatures will rise into the mid-30s by Christmas Eve.
