Snow and ice are already wreaking havoc throughout the Kansas City area on Saturday night, and even more winter weather is coming overnight through Sunday evening. A powerful winter storm will sweep through the St. Louis region on Sunday, bringing a mix of snow, sleet and ice to close out the weekend.

Storm Blair blanketed Greater Cincinnati communities with several inches of snowfall Sunday and even more accumulations are expected Monday. The National Weather Service said a new daily snowfall record of 8.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear joins FOX Weather to talk about the impacts from a major winter storm unfolding across the U.S., including power outages and vehicle crashes. These impacts are forecast to continue through Wednesday with more ice and bitter cold.

The storm dropped more than 5 inches of snow in Lexington alone, with higher amounts elsewhere in the state, followed by sleet and mixed precipitation Sunday night into Monday. Both state and Lexington officials have urged drivers to stay off the roads.
