Supervising director Dave Wilson and creator Tim Miller recently discussed how they tried to work out a deal with Microsoft for Master Chief and the Doom Slayer, but it didn't work out.

And it turns out there was a great idea for an episode that involved a crossover between Master Chief and the Doom Slayer. An idea Microsoft apparently killed, according to the show’s creator.
