The UK is set for a brief reprieve after a week of chaos wrought by freezing temperatures engulfing the British Isles. But it won't last long as in a matter of weeks a new, enormous wall of snow is set to careen across the UK.

New data from WXCharts shows that just 10 cities across the UK are set for more snow in January, with wintery outbursts confined to the north and Scotland. Yorkshire will see snowfall on January 24, with cities such as Leeds, Wakefield, Ripon, Bradford, and York set to see around 2cm per hour from midday.

Hundreds of flood warnings and alerts are in place, as the Met Office also issued another two days of warnings for snow and ice.

A number of weather warnings are in place for parts of the UK on Tuesday, as more snow is forecast to fall across the country and flooding is expected. The Met Office has issued three new yellow snow and ice warnings and another snow alert over the next three days following a weekend of extreme weather.
