Before thinking of any spring lawn care, you will need to first have your John Deere mower repaired. The Kawasaki-built engine could spark a fire.

So far, there have been no injuries reported, the company says. CPSC says the recall involved John Deere ZTrak Zero Turn Mowers with model numbers Z720E, Z730M, Z740R, and Z760R with Kawasaki engines.

Owners of John Deere ZTrak mowers with Kawasaki engines should check their serial numbers and schedule a free repair to prevent engine fires.
