Daniil Medvedev has been fined $73,000 after smashing cameras with his racquet and missing a press conference at the 2025 Australian Open.

Daniil Medvedev has copped a pair of hefty fines following his surprise Australian Open exit. The world No. 5 was bundled out in the second round by qualifier Learner Tien – arguably the biggest upset of the tournament thus far.

While Medvedev escaped a fine for the media no-show, the Russian has now been slugged with $122,000 worth of fines for separate outbursts in the tournament. The Russian World No.5 copped a $16,000 fine for breaking a net camera after smashing his racquet into the net during his first-round win.
