In the slipstream of its cancellation earlier this week, gameplay has leaked from Splash Damage’s online co-op shooter, Transformers: Reactivate. The game, announced in 2022, had intended to deliver a Destiny -style multiplayer experience, where you assume the role of iconic Autobots like Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

Transformers: Reactivate gameplay seems to have leaked following the announcement that the project was canceled yesterday. Footage of what appears to be the early-in-development Transformers third-person action game found its way to X/Twitter just hours after developer Splash Damage revealed it had made the decision to “end development” for the project.

The news comes via developer Splash Damage, which has posted a statement on social media. "The decision has been made to end development of Transformers: Reactivate," it writes.

But since Transformers: Reactivate has been re-announced at TGA 2022, fans have heard radio silence until today. The developers at Splash Damage have announced the project has been officially cancelled on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, in a longwinded statement that can be seen below.
