The CEO of Republic, Graham Smith, revealed on Jan. 6 that he'd reported Prince Andrew to London's Met Police. Speaking to The Telegraph, Smith alleged that Prince Andrew had used the fake name "Andrew Inverness" on several business filings, suggesting the decision might even equate to fraud.

The BBC reported today that the Metropolitan Police confirmed receipt of the complaint, which would now be assessed. It is worth noting, as the BBC has done, that Andrew also holds the title Earl of Inverness. Scrutiny of Prince Andrew’s business dealings and links to controversial individuals looks set to remain high in 2025.
