Astronomers have detected supersonic winds on the hot Jupiter WASP-18b, with speeds of 5,400 mph, offering new insights into atmospheric dynamics and exoplanet exploration.

The data used to create the image is from a Hubble Space Telescope project to capture and map Jupiter's superstorm system.
