Naomi Osaka is set to undergo an MRI to determine the extent of her abdominal injury but notes that she is feeling positive that it is nothing more than a minor issue that won't prevent her from competing at the Australian Open.

Osaka had won the first set of the final 6-4 against Denmark's Clara Tauson when she spoke to her coach Patrick Mouratoglou, the chair umpire, and a tour trainer before deciding to withdraw.

Former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka reached her first semi-final in almost three years after she came from behind to beat Hailey Baptiste 6-7(2), 6-1, 6-2 at the ASB Classic.
