Three days after the Ravens parted ways with WR Diontae Johnson, the Houston Texas claimed the 28-year-old veteran off waivers.

Diontae Johnson was waived by the Ravens but on Wednesday he made it clear he's still on good terms with the players.

Nearly two months after acquiring wide receiver Diontae Johnson, the Baltimore Ravens have waived the six-year veteran, the team announced Friday. Baltimore’s decision to move on from Johnson, who was traded from the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 29, follows a tumultuous month between both parties.

Baltimore Ravens waive wide receiver Diontae Johnson ahead of their Week 16 clash against his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Johnson, 28, was traded from the Carolina Panthers to the Ravens ahead of the trade deadline in November. He led the Panthers in receptions (30), receiving yards (357), and touchdown catches (3) through the first seven games of the season before being traded to Baltimore.

The Texans host the Ravens in a possible playoff preview on Christmas Day in a game featuring Beyoncé at halftime. The game is being broadcast nationally on Netflix but over the air in Houston. Follow along with our staff for updates.
