Philadelphia police said they have made an arrest in the murder of a 15-year-old Simon Gratz sophomore who was shot and killed on the way to school in what police described as a robbery.Devin Weedon was near the corner of 16th Street and Hunting Park Avenue in March 2023 when police say a group of young men dressed in all black approached him and began a struggle in front of a furniture store — just a few blocks from his school.

A Philadelphia man has been charged in the shooting death of Devin Weedon, the 15-year-old Simon Gratz student who was killed during an attempted robbery while on his way to school in 2023, police said.
