Hours after a suspect drove into a crowd of New Year's revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, the FBI says they are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. Four senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter say they have preliminarily identified the suspect in the vehicle ramming attack in New Orleans as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42.

Security experts in Buffalo said there were security failures ahead of and during the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, where an Army veteran driving a pickup truck sped down Bourbon Street, killing at least 15 people and injuring more than 30 others.
