I spent $40,000 on a backyard pool even though it's not a great investment, and it's still the best purchase I've ever made
The backyard was enormous ... though I still didn't want an above-ground pool. This left us with a fully buried, semi-in-ground (an in-ground pool without a deep end) as our only option.
