A winter storm warning is in effect from metro Atlanta northward until 7 a.m. on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory is in effect south of Atlanta, where a mix is possible but nothing is expected to stick. While officials have salted major roads, they still urge people to avoid travel until the snow and ice have melted.
