NSA Ajit Doval, who is in Beijing, met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng. The meeting came after Doval met China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and discussed a range of issues, including the disengagement agreement reached by both sides.

China is ready to work with India to implement the important common understandings between the leaders of the two countries and work to bring bilateral relations back on track as soon as possible, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Both India and China agreed to continue to take measures to maintain peace and tranquillity in the border area and promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.
