Alabama nursing student Abbie Stockard, whose boyfriend is Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler, was crowned the 97th Miss America after competing against 51 other hopefuls Jan. 5.

Abbie Stockard, Miss Alabama 2024, was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday night at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando, Florida. Stockard, 22, will receive a $50,000 in scholarship money as Miss America and immediately start a yearlong reign.

This is insane," Stockard said in a video posted on the organization's Instagram. "I don’t know what I did to deserve this.”
