Just wondered as our apartment doesn’t have a pool, is there somewhere like a public pool anywhere near St George’s beach?.Read that the beach is gritty. We are going to travel around the island so we will find the better beaches.

Not able to say. Beach is coarse sand, as are most of Malta's beaches. Buses excellent, beware of being told the "bus station " in St Julian's is round the corner, it's just a bustop …
